New Gel Caddy™ sleeves from the Hamilton Company protect delicate gels and eliminate breakage. The sleeves are very affordable at $0.50 or less per sleeve. Gel Caddy is an alternative to a Gel Drying frame. Drying a gel can take up to 60 min and rehydrating it to perform further analysis can take up to another 60 min. With the gel caddy it takes just seconds to put a gel into or remove from a sleeve. Gels can be imaged straight through the plastic sleeve with UV and visible light! Also, the plastic does not interfere with mass spectrometry analysis of spots cut using the Gel Caddy as a support. Hamilton's Impulse Sealer assures a thick seal for long-term storage up to a year or more with sleeves sized to allow opening and resealing several times. Gel Caddy sleeves are available as packs of 50 in two sizes, 18 X 25 cm and 30 X 40 cm. At last, a fast and efficient method of storing gels for future analysis.
