3D Spheroids Simplified With Spheroid Microplates

Corning spheroid

Generate, culture, assay, and analyze your spheroids all in one microplate. The Corning® spheroid microplate features a novel and proprietary design that allows you to use one microplate to achieve all of these steps without manipulating or transferring delicate spheroids.

The microplates feature black opaque walls and clear, round well-bottom geometry, as well as the Corning Ultra-Low Attachment (ULA) surface, which is hydrophilic, biologically inert and non-degradable. All Corning spheroid microplates feature a unique well-bottom design that enables highly reproducible growth of 3D spheroid cultures.

The Corning spheroid microplate is available in 96-, 384-, and 1536-well formats.

With their novel and proprietary design, these microplates are ideal for generating and analyzing 3D multicellular spheroids in the same microplate. The ULA surface enables uniform and reproducible 3D multicellular spheroid formation. The black opaque microplate body shields each optically clear, round bottom well from well-to-well cross-talk.

  • Optically clear round bottom with black opaque microplate body
  • Covalent attachment of Ultra-Low Attachment surface to reduce cellular adhesion to well surface
  • Novel well geometry aids in the generation of uniform, single spheroids across all wells, which enables automated visualization.
  • Unique design shields each well to minimize well-to-well cross-talk.
  • You can culture and assay spheroids in the same microplate, without the need for transfer to a new microplate.
  • The 96-well is compatible with the HTS Transwell® 96 system for 3D immune oncology models in a high throughput testing environment.
  • 1536-well format is ideal for higher volume spheroid growth in for high throughput screening
