Wako has introduced another catalyst in its line of "Green" Chemical Reagents. Scandium Trifluoromethanesulfate [Sc(OTf)3] is a water-stable Lewis Acid that is useful in many synthetic reactions. Wako has produced a microencapsulated Sc(OTf)3 that is recoverable and reusable. It demonstrates higher activity than monomeric Lewis Acid in reactions such as Imino Aldol Reactions, Quinoline Synthesis, Friedel-Crafts Acylation, etc.
