The PHERAstar FS microplate reader has all the features one would expect from the ultimate high-end HTS microplate reader but also comes with advanced top and bottom reading, on-board reagent injectors for performing fast kinetic assays, and has dedicated lasers for all TR-FRET and AlphaScreen® based measurements.

Exceptional Features
Some of the many technological advances of the PHERAstar FS include on-board reagent injectors for precise kinetic measurements, advanced top and bottom reading, high-resolution cell layer scanning, precise temperature control up to 45°C, UV/Vis absorbance spectrometer, laser light source for TRF, TR-FRET and AlphaScreen® measurements and much more. The PHERAstar FS can even read plate formats up to 3456-well.
Automation
As automation is a key feature in High-Throughput Screening, the PHERAstar FS was designed with a small standardized microplate reader footprint for easy integration into all leading robotic systems via DDE or ActiveX interface. For medium level throughput, BMG LABTECH offers a 50-plate Stacker for use with the PHERAstar FS and all other BMG LABTECH microplate readers.
Software Package
The PHERAstar FS comes with BMG LABTECH's well established Reader Control and powerful MARS Data Analysis Software. MARS contains significant ease-of-use enhancements and offers a wide range of data analysis including: validations, kinetic and assay quality calculations, data corrections, enzyme kinetics (e.g. Michaelis-Menten). curve scaling and smoothing, standard curve calculations and even user-defined formulas for curve fitting. Furthermore, MARS allows all types of data display to visualize data output such as overlay kinetic plots, standard curves, various curve fits, table views, signal curve, rainbow colors view and more. The Standard Curve Wizard creates an easy step-by-step calculation of a standard curve and the Template Manager is an excellent tool for building complex data processing protocols. With MARS, user-defined data analysis is simply done with one click of the mouse. Improved robotic integration capabilities with ActiveX and DDE interfaces, digital signature and FDA 21 CFR part 11 compliance of complete BMG LABTECH's software package.
