The Keofitt^® Membrane Sampling Valves offered by Sartorius Stedim Biotech are designed for physical, chemical and microbiological sampling. With valve designs for many applications and a wide variety of accessories, Keofitt^® has created a new standard for sterile sampling. The key to the Keofitt^® sterile sampling system is the ability to sterilize the valve after every sampling, providing a consistent, aseptic sample of the media being tested.

There are three main parts to each Keofitt^® Membrane Sample Valve: valve body, membrane and valve actuator. The membrane fits over the stem of the actuator, functioning as a stretchable plug. The valve is easily disassembled for replacement of the membrane. Assembly of the valve is accomplished by threading the actuator into the valve body and locking it down with a torsion bar.

The membrane forms a static seal between the actuator and body. The tension that holds the membrane tight against the valve body is supplied by a spring that is powerful enough to withstand pressure up to 10 bar (145psi).
