Anti-cdk9 and Anti-cyclin T1 are a pair of antibodies designed for the further investigation of HIV-1 expression. This combination of antibodies phosphorylates RNA Polymerase II in vitro and associates with HIV-1 generated Tat in HIV-1 infected T-cells, which stimulates human HIV-1 viral transcription elongation. In addition, these antibodies are important for the activation of transcription when tethered to the heterologous Rev response element RNA via the regulator of expression of viron Rev.
