The DASGIP Gas Mixing System MX4/4 supplies up to four bioreactors with an individual mixture of air, nitrogen, oxygen and carbon dioxide.

Each gas outlet has separate set points for mass flow, oxygen and carbon dioxide concentration. The standard MX4/4 model providing flow rates from 0.1 to 50 sL/h per outlet covers a wide range of microbial and cell culture applications. For applications with a higher gas flow rate demand, the MX4/4H module provides up to 250 sL/h per gas outlet. For mixed overlay and submerged gassing set-ups, the optional MX Splitter divides each outlet gas flow into two streams, where each can be sent either to a headspace inlet for overlay gassing or to a submerged sparger.

Each module is fitted with an independent microprocessor to be operated as a stand-alone solution or externally controlled via PC. MX4/4 modules are tried and tested components of the DASGIP Parallel Bioreactor Systems for microbiology and cell culture. No matter if operated stand-alone or within the DASGIP system, all data can be transferred into a supervisory process control system via OPC.
