The DPX assay, for dopamine receptor screening
The DPX assay, for dopamine receptor screening, can contribute to investigation of the pathogenesis of neurological disorders. This assay is a competitive binding reaction: active D2 compounds compete with the tracer for the limited number of binding sites, so that polarization is inversely proportional to the degree of compound binding. The LJL ADEPT team, which offers consulting services, will help you evaluate the appropriateness of using HEFP with the human dopamine D2 receptors, and then can provide the receptor, fluorescent-labeled tracer, calibrator, and HEFP assay buffer.
