The DASGIP OD4 Module for online monitoring of optical absorbance offers easy measurement of biomass and cell growth in up to four bioreactors.
The optical absorbance (AU) is measured with highly precise infrared sensors with different optical path lengths. Standard and individually defined process values such as Optical Density (OD) or Cell Dry Weight (CDW) are automatically calculated from absorption raw signals and provide online cell growth information.
Every OD4 Module has its own microprocessor. OD4 Modules are tried and tested components of the DASGIP Parallel Bioreactor Systems for microbiology and cell culture. No matter if operated stand-alone or within the DASGIP system, all data can be transferred into a supervisory process control system via OPC. Digital and analog interfaces allow seamless integration into 3rd party systems.
