Cell Culture Respirometer
The O2/CO2 Cell Culture Respirometer allows quantitative measurements of cell growth utilizing oxygen consumption and CO2 production of small cell culture samples. It can also be used for measuring tissue and bacterial cultures as well as oxidation of enzymes. Measurements can be conducted in ambient air or other gas atmospheres, as well as in different temperatures.
The principle of measurement is based on periodic sampling and circulation of headspace gas via highly sensitive oxygen and CO2 produced is accomplished by measuring changes in gas concentration in the headspace above the cell culture.
Tissue/cell culture chambers can be any size and one to 80 samples can be measured simultaneously. Optional sensors allow measurement of other gases such as H2, H2 or CH4.
