PreSens Precision Sensing – Sensors for Industry and Research

PreSens is a world leader in the field of chemical-optical sensors. It develops, manufactures and distributes sensor systems for Biotech & Pharma, Food & Beverage, Scientific Applications and Medical Devices. PreSens focuses on parameters which are essential for life: oxygen, pH and carbon dioxide.

PreSens offers systems include:

  • Dissolved oxygen measurement in gases and liquids
  • Non-invasive on-line pH and oxygen measurement
  • Oxygen and pH sensors for single-use bioreactors
  • Microsensors for pH and oxygen
  • Process control in shake flasks
  • Low-maintenance DO measurement for fermentation and bioreactor systems
  • On-line oxygen and pH measurement in disposables like multiwall plates and plastic bags

Our product range is constantly expanded.

Based on research activities started in the 1980's PreSens Precision Sensing was founded in 1997 as a spin off from the University of Regensburg, Germany. The company combines these long-time experiences of different researchers in the fields of electronic engineering and sensor development. Customer feedback has influenced our product development for several years and we can therefore serve your needs: validated measurement results.

Right from the beginning microsensor systems were sold to researchers in the life science area. Our worldwide customer base in the scientific R&D business field has now grown to hundreds of users coming from the University of Alaska in Anchorage to the University of Wellington in New Zealand. Over the last twelve years, we have delivered our special microsensors and our non-invasive systems for various applications such as respirometry, biology, or medical reasearch.

Furthermore, we are developer and manufacturer of opto-electronic OEM sensor components for companies in the field of medical equipment and process control.
