ABOUT US

ATMI Lifesciences’ strategic intent

To be The Source of BioPharma Process Efficiency by providing single-use smart processing and packaging technology solutions that maximize product integrity.

History

We believe single-use, flexible process vessels for the BioPharmaceutical Industry must begin with a fundamental knowledge of polymers, specially selected resins, control of the film extrusion process and environment, as well as cleanroom manufacturing, to insure optimal integrity and performance.

Since 1986, ATMI LifeSciences has been developing and manufacturing single-use solutions for the BioPharma and Microelectronics industries with additive-free resins, our own in-house extruded film, and manufacturing our single-use products in Class 100 Cleanrooms.

ATMI LifeSciences has manufacturing facilities in Hoegaarden, Belgium; Bloomington, Minnesota and Lexington, Kentucky, USA and Toyohashi, Japan, with capabilities to produce hardware and single-use vessels for disposable mixing, bioreactor and storage systems as well as fluoropolymer-based products and custom engineered, flexible packaging solutions. ATMI LifeSciences also maintains process application laboratories, multidisciplined product development teams, quality and global customer service and support networks.

We offer the following solutions:

Disposable Mixing Systems – NEWMIX – LEVTECH

Single Use Bioreactors – NUCLEO

Ultraclean Sterilizable Flexible Packaging – NEWFORM

Disposable Containment Systems - NEWSAFE

ATMI Newly Designed Liquid Storage Bags For Bioprocessing At INTERPHEX
Richard Bhella discusses how ATMI has improved its liquid storage bags. They now use the same film for all bags, which minimizes validation burdens. The bags feature an easier integrity testing format. You can take these bags, flood them with helium and test leaks in a way that's much more sensitive than the more established pressure decay test.

ATMI's Richard Bhella Discusses Helium Integrity Testing
Richard Bhella, ATMI global product manager, explained how ATMI is leveraging the use of single-use bag technology in their mixers, bioreactors, and storage systems. However, this brings about the challenge of controlling leaks, since high-value product will be put into these bags. Lori Clapper talks with Bhella about how Helium Integrity Testing addresses this issue.
