ABOUT US

Thermo Scientific NanoDrop Products, has played a pioneering role in micro-volume instrumentation by developing unique spectrophotometers and fluorospectrometers for the life sciences market since 2001. More than 20,000 NanoDrop™ instruments are utilized in labs in such diverse fields such as drug discovery, genomics, proteomics, molecular diagnostics, bioprocessing and biobanking.
QC, manufacturing and research labs often have relied upon UV-Vis absorbance spectroscopy using conventional cuvette-based spectrophotometers. However, the novel approach developed by NanoDrop products uses a micro-volume UV-Vis analysis method, which provides significant improvements in processing time as well as reliability. This system allows scientists to quickly and easily quantify samples such as proteins, nucleic acids and more. The technology foundation of every NanoDrop product is the patented sample retention system. This technology allows direct measurement for samples as small as 0.5µL. By eliminating the need to perform dilutions, and thereby minimizing human error and variability factors, analyses can de done quickly and conveniently. And, because NanoDrop instruments do not have any associated consumables, operating costs are reduced.
