The Plugflow unit is a tool for studying chemical reactions in a timescale from a few seconds to several minutes. In a typical experiment the Plugflow unit is connected to a bioreactor containing a steady state culture. The Plugflow unit enables the execution of a perturbation experiment without disturbing the actual cultivation.
