Quantitative Determination Of Bisphosphonate Pharmaceuticals And Excipients By Capillary IC-MS
By Leo Jinyuan Wang and William C. Schnute, Thermo Fisher Scientific
Bisphosphonates are a group of compounds that are used as active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) to treat bone disorders including osteoporosis, Paget’s disease, and hypercalcemia. Typical methods for bisphosphonates analysis include liquid chromatography (LC) with derivatization and/or ion pairing, ion chromatography (IC), capillary electrophoresis (CE), and gas chromatography (GC) with derivatization.

Greater Loading Capacity And Resolution For Improved Productivity In Peptide Purification
By Dr. Reno Nguyen, Scott Anderson, Dr. Chitra Sundararajan, Dennis McCreary, and Dr. Jochen Saar
Peptide therapeutics have been recognized as delivering the best of both worlds in terms of small-molecule synthesis efficiency, biologics efficacy, and reduced toxicity. However, challenges in mass production and low oral availability have historically made them less than ideal drug candidates. Read more.

KANEKA KanCapA: A New mAb Purification Platform
By Kazunobu Minakuchi, Masahiro Funaki, Hiroaki Kawasaki, Alan Walker, Francesco Liotino, and Dirk Hoegaerts
The C domain of Native Protein A binds to the Fc region of an antibody, but also binds to the Fab region, especially to the VH3 subfamily of mAbs. This type of binding requires a more acidic pH for elution. Read more.
