Getinge Life Science Americas Division Advances "The Evolution Of Innovation" At INTERPHEX 2012

The Getinge Life Science Americas Division focused on “The Evolution of Innovation” at this year’s INTERPHEX 2012 show at the Jacob Javits Convention Center in New York on May 1 – 3. Now a separate, market-focused division of Getinge, Getinge Life Science is targeting efforts toward four key business segments: 1) The biopharmaceutical market, supporting the manufacture of pharmaceutical products; 2) The finished medical device market; 3) The biomedical market, supporting lab animal research and vivarium operations; and 4) The lab sector, inclusive of university, government and industry laboratories.

“With the creation of two divisions as of January 1, 2012 – Healthcare and Life Science – we are better positioned to optimize our resources and products to meet evolving customer needs,” said Jim Fry, Vice President, Life Science Americas Division. “Our R&D and manufacturing efforts are now separate, giving us leverage and powerful resources to more quickly design and launch products specifically for the Life Science arena.”

As an initial demonstration of this nimbleness and targeting, Getinge Life Science Americas highlighted both new and enhanced products and solutions at INTERPHEX. These ranged from an expanded array of Getinge cGMP Washers, with significantly enhanced feature sets, to the innovative, new Getinge ISOTEST Isolator solutions which deliver reduced sterility test times and increased protection from false positives.

Also featured at INTERPHEX were additional Getinge Life Science advances, including –
• Expanded FAT offerings in their state-of-the-art facilities.
• Innovative Getinge sterilizer solutions, featuring the Getinge GEV TS Turbo Sterilizer that brings terminal sterilization to a new level with unsurpassed chamber uniformity and throughput speed.
