There have been few instances of bioweapon use by terrorists, but the impact has been significant. With the growth of political turmoil and of extremists groups, the potential danger of bioterrorism is increasingly in the minds of the public and governments. The uncontrollable nature of the agents, the speed at which they can spread and the potential for extensive damage make it a concern that must be addressed.
