Beckman Coulter Life Sciences Features New Technologies And Applications At Pittcon 2013
Wide-ranging Industrial and Biotech Line on Display
Beckman Coulter Life Sciences will exhibit products that address a range of biotech, analytical chemistry and industrial applications in booth 2403 during Pittcon 2013. Technical experts will be on hand to discuss the use of capillary electrophoresis and particle characterization systems for application in the analysis of industrial and food products as well as biopharmaceutical characterization.
An example of new applications is found with the PA 800 plus next-generation capillary electrophoresis (CE) platform, which provides automated, quantitative analysis of protein purity, charge isoform distribution and glycan structure.Originally designed with biopharmaceutical analysis in mind, the system can also be used in food and beverage quality studies for monosaccharide and protein analysis, and in the quantitative characterization of ions, organic acids and other charged or polar molecules of importance.
Beckman Coulter Life Sciences will debut a new family of innovative particle characterization products at a press conference on Monday, March 18. The announcement, which will be made at 4:00 p.m. in room 103B, will detail instruments of great interest to scientists from disciplines in which analysis of the size, conformation, frequency and zeta potential of small particles is critical.
Rounding out the company exhibit will be the Vi-Cell Series CELLViability Analyzer; the Multisizer 4 COULTER COUNTER,a versatile and accurate particle sizing and counting analyzer;and the LS 13-320 laser diffraction particle size analysis instrument.
“We greatly anticipate meeting our customers, industry partners and analysts at this year’s Pittcon,” said Thomas Ed Horton Ph.D., senior marketing manager for analytical products at Beckman Coulter Life Sciences. “With exciting news for the market and an array of innovative approaches, we anticipate a vibrant and busy meeting.”
