Armatures & Housings: Prevent Electrode Membrane Damage

Source: Hamilton Company

All Hamilton General Use Housings/Armatures have an integrated electrode protection design to prevent possible damage of the electrode membrane due to solid components in the sample.

All Hamilton General Use Housings/Armatures have an integrated electrode protection design to prevent possible damage of the electrode membrane due to solid components in the sample. Accessories include weld-in-sockets and Flow-through cells. Hamilton Sanitary Armatures are designed for use in fermentation and biotechnology applications where surface finish and cleaning are critical.

Hygienic Socket
The Hygienic Socket with ist space saving design and simple sterilisation is ideal for use in fermenters. It is intended tor 120mm pH, oxygen and conductivity sensors and was developed to ease installation and maintenance, improve cleanability and increase uman safety. 2 "Live Guard" openings provide indication of sealing failures. The sensor insertion depth can be varied by using the Hamilton DO Adapter.

Flow-Through Cells
Hamilton Flow-Thru Cells meet a variety of needs from applications in biotechnology, water treatment, or power plant construction to cases where reliable pH and oxygen measurements must be made in ion-weak media.

Weld-in Sockets / 25 mm Ports
This weld-in socket allows armatures and sensors with a G 1-1/4" thread to be inserted in a steel pipe or container. This special design ensures that the inner diameter is not affected by the welding process, so that there is no need for reworking and filing of the material after welding.

Pressurizable Armatures
Armatures suitable for applications where high accuracy or long-term stability is required in conjunction with liquid electrolyte electrodes. Such electrodes must be pressurized to ensure flow of the electrolyte solution.

Retractable Aramatures
These armatures/housings allow the user to install maintenance-free electrodes in critical processes. The main advantage of this design is that the sensor can be withdrawn while the process is running (i.e. for cleaning, calibration or even to replace the electrode), without interrupting the process.
