United Drug Expands Use Of Pilgrim Software Solutions Among European And American Operations

Pilgrim Software, Inc., a world-leading provider of Enterprise Risk, Compliance and Quality Management (ERCQM) software solutions, recently announced that United Drug plc, a leading international provider of services to healthcare manufacturers and pharmaceutical retailers, has agreed to expanded its internal Pilgrim SmartSolve solution user network to further standardize its quality and compliance operations across Europe and the United States.

With multiple operational units throughout Ireland, the UK, Europe and the United States, United Drug earlier this year implemented Pilgrim's integrated ERCQM platform to enable the global enterprise to manage, streamline and optimize quality and operational processes across its multiple divisions. With additional user licenses and additional solutions for its European and U.S. sites, United Drug will further harmonize its global operations.

United Drug's corporate management wished to create a harmonized global QMS platform to address the compliance and quality requirements, allowing data to be easily analyzed, and thereby helping make strategic business decision-making easier and quicker. Less than one year after its initial rollout of Pilgrim's solutions for Documentation, CAPA and Complaints handling, and Audit management, the Ireland-based provider has seen improved efficiencies in its operations and launched an expanded implementation of the solutions.

The SmartSolve expansion includes the first-time rollout by United Drug of Pilgrim's Training Management software, a comprehensive solution for ensuring employee job quality and compliance by managing personnel skill sets/certifications and streamlining course management activities. United Drug also has purchased Pilgrim's Dutch Language Packs to enable its Netherlands operation to effectively implement and engage the SmartSolve suite.
