Case Study: Performance Validation Of The Nucleo Scalable, Disposable Bioreactor With An Anchorage Dependent Cell Line
ATMI LifeSciences and Pierre Guerin-Biolaffite introduce Nucleo™, the next generation single-use bioreactor.
Nucleo utilizes both expertise from ATMI LifeSciences in ultra-pure bio-film/bags and disposable mixing technologies, and the Biolaffite Division of Pierre Guerin in fermentation and automated systems.
Nucleo is a complete solution for a wide range of cell culture applications, specifically developed and marketed for the biotech industry.
Nucleo represents the state of the art response to the evolution of biotech GMP processes. This innovative bioreactor is based on the patented ATMI Pad-drive™ single-use mixing technology, providing optimal mixing efficiency, drastically reduced shear stress, as well as superior oxygen transfer rates created through the use of a unique dynamic sparger. It is perfectly suited to laboratory, development and production environments.
Nucleo offers a complete range of standard vessel sizes ranging from 25 to 600 liters, associated accessories and dedicated services. Vessels up to 1200 liters will be available in the near future.
The Nucleo™ bioreactor is a device that can easily culture suspension cells and adherent cell lines at very high cell densities, and is compatible with most biomanufacturing processes.
The system has a unique combination of rotor speed, sparger in motion, gas flow rate and cubical vessels, providing its users with superior gas transfer rates.
