Integrated workflow solution capable of delivering a 12-liter harvest in a single run

Rochester, NY - Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. introduced the NALGENE® 2L Bio Bottle, a two-liter centrifuge bottle designed to support high-volume sample processing. When used with the Thermo Scientific Sorvall RC12BP centrifuge and H-12000 swinging-bucket rotor, NALGENE 2L Bio Bottles enable scientists to process 12 liters of sample in a single run, making it ideal for gross separations of samples including bacterial, yeast and tissue isolations performed in compliance with GMP regulations.

The NALGENE 2L Bio Bottle and sealing cap are leakproof up to 7,333 x G and have an operating temperature range from 4°C to 22°C, with storage to 0°C. Constructed of chemical-resistant polypropylene copolymer, the bottles meet USP Class VI and are certified non-cytotoxic and non-hemolytic. A wide mouth opening simplifies decanting, re-suspensions and pellet removal, and the smooth inner walls are less likely to shear cells. Loading, recovery and sample storage are facilitated with its ergonomic design that includes graduations for precise measurement. The bottles are autoclavable.

As part of an integrated workflow solution, NALGENE 2L Bio Bottles are designed to fit the Sorvall H-12000 swinging-bucket rotor, an anodized aluminum rotor with a unique conical shape that improves pelleting. The Sorvall RC12BP centrifuge is known as a dependable workhorse for large volume separations.
