The ProteOn system's 6 x 6 array of interactions provide the researcher with flexible experimental design options and throughput to streamline assay development and optimization processes that are required for large-scale sample processing.
Assay Development
The criss-cross configuration and parallel channels in the ProteOn system offers the ability to measure and analyze 36 independent interactions on a single chip surface. This extended capacity enables comparison between multiple interaction analysis choices, and achieves true rapid assay development.
Assay Optimization Typical assay optimization involves immobilizing one ligand to the chip surface, in 6 parallel channels, followed by multiple injections of the analyte as a concentration series. Analysis of various concentrations of both ligand and analyte results in a large matrix of conditions. The ProteOn system, using the novel One-Shot Kinetics approach, can complete an entire optimization experiment with two simple injections of ligand and analyte in a concentration series.
