Dr. Gernot John, of PreSens, demonstrates the SFR (Shake Flask Reader) at INTERPHEX 2011. The SFR measures rapid and precise in up to 9 shake flasks simultaneously. The wireless system monitors on-line und noninvasively through the transparent bottom of the flasks. The luminescence of the dyes embedded in these sensor spots is excited by the Shake Flask Reader. Its software visualizes oxygen and pH in real-time during the entire cultivation. Results are displayed in a variety of graphical representations and enable the comparison of different cultivations on-line. The SFR allows you to optimize the cultivation parameters systematically.
