Characterization Of Two Single-Use Bioreactors For Mammalian Cell Culture Processes
February 1, 2012
Single-use cell culture bioreactors based on disposable product-contacting equipment increasingly replace established stainless steel systems. Two bioreactors were characterized towards mixing and oxygen capacity and their suitability for supporting cell growth, viability and productivity in fed-batch cultivations under chemically defined serum-free medium conditions. Results were compared to the conventional 5 L stirred tank bioreactor system.
