Cyto-Chex® BCT is FDA-cleared for the preservation, transport of HIV samples
Omaha, NE - Streck, Inc., a medical device manufacturing company and the technology leader in the stabilization of cells, will present information on Streck Cyto-Chex BCT at the 17th annual meeting of the Great Lakes International Imaging and Flow Cytometry Association (GLIIFCA) Sept. 19-21 in Milwaukee.
Cyto-Chex BCT is Streck's FDA-cleared direct-draw blood collection tube for the preservation and transport of HIV-infected patient samples. It contains a patent-protected preservative that stabilizes cell morphology and preserves antigen expression for up to seven days or more at room temperature. The tubes are ideal for the preservation of whole blood specimens requiring immunophenotyping by flow cytometry.
By extending sample stability and integrity beyond that of a standard blood collection tube, Cyto-Chex BCT offers a solution to common logistical challenges faced by clinical and research laboratories.
