The Case For 'Good Storage Practice' In Biopharmaceutical Development
By F. John Mills, Oscar Moralez, and Jennifer Benner, BioProcess International
Those working in medical
research and drug development
have always needed to store
biological materials such as
blood samples and active
pharmaceutical ingredients. Stored
biomaterials can be used for a number
of purposes, from medical education
to examination of disease processes
over time. Read the complete article.

A Bioassay Glossary
By Robert Singer, David M. Lansky, and Walter W. Hauck, BioProcess International
In the biopharmaceutical industry, white papers,
standards, and regulatory documents are often
published in draft form to elicit comments from the
industry over a designed review period. Read the complete article.

Application Note: When To Replace Your Biological Safety Cabinet
|
|
Use of modern day biological safety cabinets (BSCs) began in the early 1970s with BSCs that were manufactured to the NIH-03-112C Standard and subsequently the NSF Standard 49. BSCs manufactured in the 70s, 80s, and early 90s have provided over 15 years of service.

Brochure: Biopharmaceutical Development — Bioassay Development
|
|
Bioassay development and validation are visible components of a product's path to market. The process of designing, optimizing, validating, and implementing your bioassay should be a transparent part of the biologic development cycle that fast-tracks your commercial objectives — not a bottleneck brought about by imprecise science or regulatory inexperience.

Datasheet: Endoglycosidase F2
|
|
Endoglycosidase F2 cleaves asparagine-linked or free
oligomannose and biantennary complex
oligosaccharides. It cleaves between the
two N-acetylglucosamine residues in the
diacetylchitobiose core of the oligosaccharide,
generating a truncated sugar molecule with one Nacetylglucosamine
residue remaining on the
asparagine. In contrast, PNGase F removes the
oligosaccharide intact.

Application Note: Glycolytic Enzyme Enolase
|
|
The detailed understanding of three-dimensional
protein structure is important in the design of
new drugs and for engineering proteins with
improved properties for industrial applications.
