CMO Florida Biologix® On Track For 2nd Year cGMP Client Growth In 2008

Alachua, FL – Florida Biologix, the unique non-profit biologics contract manufacturing organization (CMO)located on the University of Florida's Center of Excellence for Regenerative Health Biotechnology in Alachua, Florida completed its first year of operations in November, 2007.
With 2008 first quarter contracts in house, this new 23,500 square foot facility is poised to deliver products to clients involved in early phases of drug discovery The experienced staff at the new, multi-product state-of-the-art Florida Biologix facility delivers process development, cGMP cell banking and other cell culture services, automated sterile fill-finish and non-GMP services to a variety of clients including private and publicly held companies government agencies, and other academic centers.

Florida Biologix hosted multiple client site visits and audits during its first year of operation. During repeated visits the strength of the client and cGMP manufacturer relationship became an important point of differentiation in the CMO environment. In their reports, auditors recognized the 100+ years of cGMP manufacturing experience held collectively by the Management team. "Our goal is to become the premier Phase I and II biologics CMO in the US, and possibly outside the US in the future," says Richard Snyder, Ph.D., the Director of Florida Biologix .Our 2007 bookings exceeded our first year expectations.
